What Menuscript does

Menuscript uses optical character recognition and AI to help you understand restaurant menus. It may provide translations, descriptions, ingredient and allergen signals, nutrition estimates, pronunciation, cultural context, recommendations, totals, and AI-generated dish previews.

AI-generated previews

Dish images in Menuscript may be generated by AI. They are illustrative previews, not photographs of the restaurant’s actual dishes. Appearance, ingredients, portions, and presentation will vary.

Eligibility and acceptable use

You must be at least 13 years old to use Menuscript. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

You may not misuse Menuscript, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer it except where the law permits, upload unlawful or infringing content, scrape the service, or use it to harm others.

Your content

You keep ownership of menu photos and other content you submit. You give us a limited worldwide license to host, copy, process, transmit, and create outputs from that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve Menuscript. You are responsible for having the right to submit your content.

Our service and intellectual property

Menuscript, including its software, design, branding, and original content, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose.

Subscriptions and purchases

If Menuscript offers paid features, prices and billing terms will be shown before purchase. App Store purchases are billed and managed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s payment and refund rules. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your App Store account before renewal.

Third-party services

Menuscript relies on third-party services, including AI, hosting, mapping, and App Store services. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and their own terms may apply.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Menuscript. We do not promise that the service will always be available, secure, or error-free. Features marked beta, preview, or experimental may change without notice.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Menuscript is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on menu information, dietary or allergen signals, generated content, restaurant decisions, lost data, or service interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Termination

You may stop using Menuscript at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms, create risk for us or others, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
